Cisco Grove was founded by Ryan Patrick Smith, a Bay Area goldsmith whose work is rooted in historical craft and shaped by a distinctly modern point of view.

Ryan trained at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, where he studied traditional goldsmithing, fabrication, engraving, and stone setting. He later continued his education in the United States and Italy, deepening his understanding of classical technique and the structural integrity that defines lasting jewelry. These influences remain central to his practice today.

He works from a small studio, building each piece by hand using time honored methods. Rather than relying on mass production, Ryan forms, sets, and finishes every detail himself. The process is tactile and precise, guided by proportion, weight, and longevity. It is slower by design.

Cisco Grove designs draw from ancient objects, architectural structure, and the graphic clarity of traditional tattoo imagery. Ryan has long been drawn to objects that carry history in their surface and strength in their form. His pieces are intended to feel substantial and personal, something you reach for daily and grow into over time.

Cisco Grove is not driven by trend. It is built on permanence and intention, on the idea that what we choose to keep close should be made with care.
